Bringing The Heat To Canadian Beach Volleyball Competition

Founded in 2018 by Ben Saxton (Olympian), the National Beach Volleyball League (NBVL) brings together top athletes for nine weeks of high-level competition throughout the summer.

The league consists of eight teams, each with four athletes (one men's pair and one women's pair) selected through a series of qualifying tournaments.

Players compete throughout a formal season, earn points from every set they win, and the top teams progress to the finals.

One men's and one women's team are crowned winners, the season comes to an end, and we do it all again the next year.

New To NBVL In 2026:
Two Levels Of Competition

V-League

A traditional beach doubles league tiered from recreational to competitive levels of play. This league will run alongside the NBVL Feature League. V-League acts as the entry point for all NBVL athletes (all teams must register).

NBVL Feature League

The primary NBVL program featuring top beach athletes, where each spot is earned. Athletes are invited to compete to earn a spot in the NBVL Feature League through a series of qualifying tournaments: May 9th, 10th, and 16th.
